I am a dual degree master student of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Northwestern University. My research focuses on tungsten carbide (WC) scaffolds fabricated by additive manufacturing. In this research, I will study the microstructure of these scaffolds as a function of sintering time and temperature. This research is trying to improve the performance of WC scaffolds fabricated by additive manufacturing and use them for high-hardness, wear-resistant applications, especially if infiltrated with Co, Ni or Cu.

I grew up in Zhengzhou, a City in the central region of China. I graduated from Northeastern University and got my bachelor's degree in Metallurgy in 2017. Then, I went to Shanghai Jiao Tong University to pursue my Master degree in Materials Science and Engineering. At SJTU, my research is in-situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction study of Ti-6Al-4V fabricated by Selective Laser Melting. This research mainly focuses on the effects of different phases on the mechanical properties of materials. Dr. Leyun Wang is the supervisor of my research in SJTU.
