Originally from Iowa, I received my B.S. in materials science and engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020. There, I was a member of the Garcia research group focusing on ferrous alloys, and a materials researcher at Mine Safety Appliances working on materials for occupational safety products. Outside of research, I enjoy playing the piano.

Now, I am interested in developing materials for aerospace applications, and my current research in the Dunand group is on developing novel high-temperature aluminum superalloys to increase the performance and reliability of engines. We aim to combine coarsening-resistant precipitates at multiple length scales, and design aluminum alloys with superior creep-resistance processed via casting and selective laser melting.
