I grew up in La Carolina, a town near Jaén (Spain) at which university I got my degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering. There, I discovered my interest in material science and nanotechnology. After that, I wanted to know more about this field and I decided to move to Seville where I get my master in Industrial Engineering and got in touch with FePoMat research group.

FePoMat offered me the opportunity to research nanoporous materials and freeze casting. In 2017, I start a PhD program at University of Seville with the FePoMat group.

Since August 2019, thanks to Dr. Dunand, I am researching in his group to learn more about their experience in freeze casting at Northwestern University.
