I am originally from France but after graduating from the Intitut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG), I completed my PhD degree at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. I studied Aluminum and Magnesium based composites by means of mechanical spectroscopy. During my stay at Northwestern University as a post-doctoral fellow, I am doing research on syntactic aluminum foams, measuring the compressive creep properties and modeling my results using the finite-element method. It is expected that they will display high creep strength, as for composites, while maintaining their low density, as for foams.
