I was born in Shanxi, China and got a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Jilin University of Technology in 1997. And then I was hired by Superplastic & Plastic Research Institute of Jilin University and was later promoted to Associate Professor. Meanwhile, under the supervision of Prof. Yuquan Song, I got a M.S. degree in 2002 and my Ph.D in 2008 in Materials Science and Engineering. I am mainly engaged in experimental characterization of mechanical properties of materials and theoretical analysis of superplastic and plastic deformation.

FAt Northwestern University, I am studying the mechanical properties of Bismuth telluride at elevated temperature. Bismuth telluride is an efficient thermoelectric material and has a wide application in refrigeration or portable power generation, which might concern high temperatures. Thus, the investigation of mechanical properties of Bismuth telluride at elevated temperature has significant senses for the use of this material while at present it has not been paid much attention to. My research mainly focuses on the compressive creeps of Bismuth telluride at some different temperatures and alternating temperature.
