3D-Printing of tungsten

I'll be working on 3D-Printing of tungsten, where a slurry of tungsten oxide nanoparticles is 3D printed into scaffolds and later reduced and sintered to dense and porous tungsten metal scaffolds. The study will include slurry variations, variation of printing architectures and appropriate characterization (regarding density, shrinkage, microstructure and mechanical properties).

My co-adviser at ETH Zurich is Prof. Ralph Spolenak and I'm doing my master thesis here.
