I was born in Hubei, China, and earned my Ph.D. in 2020 from the University of Texas at El Paso, USA, where I focused on the cellular activity of biomaterials with excellent biocompatibility, high strength, and ductility. Following my doctoral studies, I joined the University of Tennessee, Knoxville as a postdoctoral researcher, working on Al-Ce alloy development. In 2022, I became a scientist at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore. In 2024, I joined the Dunand Research Group, where I currently work on hydrogen reduction of spent Li-ion batteries and ferroalloys.
