I was born and raised in Tucker, Georgia, before completing my bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. During my studies, I worked as an undergraduate researcher under Dr. Naresh Thadhani and Dr. Josh Kacher, investigating the effects of intentionally induced porosity on the spall strength of additively manufactured stainless steels. Additionally, I led projects that studied the use of oxide precursor direct-write additive manufacturing (DIW) and large-scale extrusion to manufacture carbon steels and Mo-based alloys. Now, I am continuing to pursue my interest in sustainable, agile manufacturing of metal with the Truby and Dunand groups. My research focuses on the intersection of embedded additive manufacturing and DIW techniques to print metals, both from oxide precursors and metal feedstocks.
