Myounggeun Choi


We are developing a directionally porous Ni and Cu foam using freeze casting. We are also characterizing their microstructure, mechanical properties, and measuring cell performance with our collaborators at Kookmin and Seoul National Universities. At Northwestern, I will continue to develop and establish the freeze-casting process for copper and nickel foams with potential applications in energy areas.
