I graduated from Harbin Engineering University in China with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Material Science in 1997 and 2000, respectively. I received PhD in materials science and engineering from The Ohio State University in 2004. I did failure analysis, and modeling of the mechanical behavior of materials. During my post-doctoral work here at Northwestern University, I am working on transformation superplasticity of cast titanium materials and on the mechanical properties of lattice block materials, under industrial sponsorship.
