I am originally from Korea. Upon graduating from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) in 1995, I came to the states to continue my graduate study at UC Irvine (1997) and UC Berkeley (2001) for M.S. and Ph.D programs, respectively.
During my post-doc work here at Northwestern University, I have been working on the processing and properties of Ni-Al/Ni-Cr-Al superalloy foams and transformation superplasticity of Ti by chemical cycling. Additionally, I have recently started working on Ti-TiC-W alloys for biomaterial applications.
